Katharina Breininger

 

Katharina is a W1-professor (eq. assistant professor) for Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging at the AIBE Department at FAU and the head of the AIMI@FAU lab. She completed her doctoral degree on “Machine Learning and Deformation Modeling for Workflow-Compliant Image Fusion for Endovascular Aortic Repair” at the Pattern Recognition Lab at FAU supervised by Prof. Dr-Ing. Andreas Maier. Her research focuses on the use of computer vision and machine learning for medical imaging for different application scenarios such as interventional imaging and digital pathology.
