AIMI @ Symposium on HCI & DL in Flensburg
Our partner research group led by Marc Aubreville recently hosted the first Flensburg Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction and Deep Learning.
AIMI researcher Jingna Qiu delivered a talk titled “Human-Machine Collaboration: Active Learning to Enhance Annotation Impact.” In her presentation, she highlighted active learning as a powerful strategy to reduce annotation workload and shared insights from her experience applying it to streamline pathologists’ efforts in annotating whole slide images, ultimately enhancing AI model development with minimal expert input.
The symposium was a great success! We very much enjoyed the active discussions and the constructive feedback on our work. Many thanks to the organizers for this wonderful opportunity, we’re already looking forward to next year’s symposium!
