Welcome Maja!
The AIMI@FAU lab is happy to welcome Maja Veigel as a PhD student to the team!
Maja Veigel received her Master’s degree in Medical Engineering with specialization on Medical Imaging and Data Processing from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. She joined the AIMI@FAU lab at the AIBE department in July 2021 as Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Katharina Breininger. Her Ph.D. research project focuses on diagnosis and therapy support for patients with rheumatic diseases. This research will be carried out in cooperation with the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen – Rheumatology and Immunology. Maja’s research interests lie especially in the application of deep learning to multimodal medical imaging data.
